2010 U.S. Olympic Snowboarding Outfit

I know the U.S. let the public see these about a month ago, but I was only trying to save you guys the agony of seeing these until I absolutely had to.

Now let me know if I’m missing something here, but what happened to Burton’s world-renowned style? I mean I can see the path they were going down with the plaid red, white, and blue jacket (which I don’t really mind, and actually think it looks pretty dope), but WTF is with the hollistered-up ripped jeans? Firstly, I’m not even a big fan of people wearing the gore-texed up denim. To me, denim and snowboarding conjour up cold, wet cotton images (and I know nobody enjoys that).

Although, Burton did hold a roundtable discussion with top pro-snowboarders and Olympic hopefuls Elena Hight, Mason Aguirre, Danny Davis, Kevin Pearce, Jack Mitrani, Luke Mitrani, Steve Fisher, Scotty Lago, and Louie Vito to review design concepts for the outerwear before arriving at the final creation. So it wasn’t all Burtons fault in the design of the duds, but it must be the altitude at Burtons HQ in the hills of vermont that made them agree on the jeans.

Let me know what you think in the comment section below. I’ve read mixed reviews about the outfit, but I’m curious to know how they look to you (international readers, I know you have alot to say about the U.S. so let’s hear it)

haha, we seen these a while back, i think idea is pretty awesome, and would look sick on a mountain, but in the olympics… oh man. fail. show some class.
it is a good substitute to all those jokers who ride in tight jeans (all but joe sexton)

canada’s uniforms look way better. and thats not a biased comment.

I guess I appreciate America’s uniforms when the backup could’ve been this…

wow i’m not a fan of the jeans AT ALL i had to go snowboarding with jeans the other week (idaho/montana NOT WA) but it sucked! HELLA COLD! but i admit its way better than the backup haha

i don’t mind this uniform…but what about the team USA skiers…they look like pajamas…I am so embarrassed for them!

Dude idk about u guys but those are sick I’ve been looking for them and found the dark ones but I have to say its not like snowboarding in jeans at all they feel like like regular snowpants the team has style

dude i agree with marrguire, the giant pot leaf would be sick, and the jackets arent bad, but wut the fuck were they thinking with those shitty pants. i would rather were a pair of barfed on speedos then those things
